Abstract :
Advancing contact angle measurements were performed on well-characterized Langmuir–Blodgett surfaces with CH3 or CF3 end-groups, using several test liquids. Surface free energies were calculated by means of different theoretical approaches available in the literature. The results were compared and discussed in the light of the different theories and surface structures.
