Abstract :
Influence of poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) concentration of molecular weight 35 × 103 g/mol on zeta potential of titanium dioxide particles of rutile modification and on aggregative stability of its aqueous suspensions have been investigated within wide range of suspensions pH.
presence of PMAA, isoelectric point of aqueous suspensions of titanium dioxide while increasing of PMAA concentration shifts towards lower pH medium in comparison with aqueous suspensions. Essential improvement of aggregative stability of suspensions is reached at pH medium higher than 4, but further increase of pH medium actually does not influence on aggregative stability of aqueous suspensions regardless of PMAA concentration in suspensions.
