Abstract :
ITO-coated multilayers with polarity gradient were built up by the layer-by-layer technique. After laser excitation, huge differences of photovoltage and recovery time were found between polarity gradient and non-polarity gradient films. These differences are due to the establishment of a metastable charge separation over nanometer dimensions.
