A new way to evaluate the high-temperature oxidation life of aluminide coatings on Co-base superalloys in air

The high-temperature oxidation and degradation behavior has been analyzed for the outward-diffusion type aluminide coating on Co-base superalloys, and the relationship between the oxidation and life has been deduced for those coatings. Using the obtained relationship formula, the high-temperature life of these coatings can be evaluated through a simple and convenient additional experiment.
