Abstract :
The magnetic properties of CoNiP films autocatalytically deposited from a glycine has ligand-containing solutions changed with the simultaneously applied electrolysis. The character of changes was found to be dependent on the ratio [Co2+]:[Ni2+], concentrations of glycine, hypophosphite and pH of solution. The highest values of magnetic coercivity were obtained at potentials close to −700 mV (in some investigated cases this value conforms with a mixed potential of electroless plating) and was found to be related to the formation of definite size elongated crystallites. Coercivity, remanent magnetic induction and magnetic squareness of films greatly decreased at higher cathodic polarization. This decrease was determined by an excess of P in films and was connected with the decrease in size of the grains.
