Abstract :
The composition of the bath was 4.8 g/dm3 of NiCl2·6H2O, 2.0 g/dm3 of dimethylamine-borane, 4.4 g/dm3 of sodium acetate and 0.01 g/dm3 of sodium lauryl sulfate (pH 4). The temperature was 341 K. The deposition rate was fast, in the order of sonication (45 kHz)>mechanical agitation (250 rpm)>vibration (500 Hz)>vibration (1.6 MHz)>stationary state. The deposited film that was formed by sonication reduced corrosion resistance in a 3% NaCl solution. It was estimated that cracks increased on surface with sonication.
