Abstract
Ni–polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite coating was successfully prepared by brush electroplating in present work. The microstructure of Ni–PTFE composite coating was observed by S-2700 SEM and Sirion 200 field emission SEM. It was found that PTFE particles dispersedly distribute among nickel matrix, which size and shape are the same as the primary state. The results also show that addition of PTFE particles increases the density of nickel coating, decreases deposition rate and crack generation. Furthermore, the effect mechanism of PTFE particles on growth behavior, deposition rate and crack generation of the nickel coating was discussed.
