Abstract
The Economic concept of Dutch Disease has been widely discussed throughout various media, from forums to textbooks and even non-fictional novels. In conducting our research for this project it was discovered that many articles about the disease itself were readily available, however none could be found which directly linked the disease with its impact on the retail pharmacy sector. Boom and Post boom economical effects are felt on the ability to procure labour in pharmacies as a result of the Dutch Disease and also due to the positive spending effect experienced there were a significant rise in sales and savings during the boom years and the maintenance of high demands by customers. Thus, the purpose of this review was to bring this issue to the spotlight and hence to give evidence as to the exact effects of the impact of Dutch Disease on the retail pharmacy sector in Trinidad and Tobago
