Abstract :
The phase diagrams of TbCl3–MCl (M=Na, K, Rb, Cs) binary systems were reassessed by CALPHAD method. The liquid phase has been described by the associate model with main 3Na++TbCl63− associate. The Gibbs energies of formation of solid compounds were calculated and compared with previous data. The entropy of mixing of the liquid phase has been used for the interpretation of structure of this phase.
