Abstract :
The ring conformation of 2-O-methyl-1,3,4,5-tetrakis-O-tert-butyldiphenylsilyl-myo-inositol was in a twist form both in solid state and in solution. This is the first observation of a stable twist conformer induced by the introduction of bulky silyl protecting groups.
