Large Epicardial Lipoma Associated with Rupture of the Interventricular Septum after an Acute Myocardial Infarct

We report a case of a large epicardial lipoma associated with an unusual rupture of an infarcted interventricular septum. The proximity of the attachment of the lipoma to the rupture site, together with the unusual shape and location of the rupture, suggest that the lipoma perpetrated the rupture.
