Abstract
The Rh-carbenoid derived from 2-diazo-1,3-cyclohexanedione inserts into the N–H bond of arylalkylamines and diarylamines. A solvent for this reactive carbenoid is suggested. The insertion products undergo a Pd-mediated aromatization to afford alkyldiarylamines and triarylamines.
