Abstract :
The parallel kinetic resolution of pentafluorophenyl 2-phenylpropionate using an equimolar combination of quasi-enantiomeric oxazolidinones is discussed. The levels of diastereocontrol were excellent leading to separable quasi-enantiomeric syn-oxazolidinone adducts in good yield.
