Abstract
A convenient solid phase synthesis of trisubstituted imidazolidinones and pyrimidinones via microwave assisted DIC-promoted intramolecular cyclization is described. Intramolecular cyclization of a resin-bound thiourea prepared by acylation of a dipeptide with an aryl isothiocyanate was rapidly promoted with DIC under microwave to afford imidazolidinones and tetrahydropyrimidinones in good yield and purity.
