Abstract :
A Zn(OTf)2-catalyzed Mannich-type reaction of the electron-deficient aromatic amines with the electron-deficient aromatic aldehydes and diethyl malonic ester was described. This three-component reaction afforded the corresponding β-amino esters in good yields.
