Synthesis and electronic properties of alkyne–TTFAQ based molecular wires

We herein describe the first synthesis of a series of π-extend tetrathiafulvalene and alkyne based conjugated molecular wires. Electronic properties of these compounds were characterized by cyclic voltammetry, UV–vis absorption, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
