Abstract :
The synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidinone derivatives was achieved in good to excellent yields using phenylboronic acid as catalyst to promote the Biginelli three-component condensation of a diversity of aromatic aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate and urea or thiourea.
