Abstract :
Imidazolium cation-based ionic liquid functionalized silica gel was prepared, and Knoevenagel condensation as well as cycloaddition of propylene oxide and carbon dioxide without any additional organic solvents has been investigated. It was found that imidazolium cation-based ionic liquid functionalized silica gel was an effective recyclable catalyst.
