Abstract :
Nonafluorobutanesulfonyl-1H-benzotriazole affords phenylazomethylenetriphenylphosphoranes upon treatment with in situ generated alkyl triphenylphosphoranylidenes. Methylenetriphenylphosphorylidene yields the corresponding bis-phenylazomethylene-triphenylphosphorane.
