Abstract :
Resolutions of 1HNMR spectra of aromatic protons have been greatly improved by using simple alcohols, aliphatic amines and aliphatic acids as solvent-induced shift reagents. The hydrogen-bonding between the solvent and the solute molecules, and the self-association characteristics of the solvents are responsible for the spectrum resolution enhancement.
