Abstract
A Brّnsted acid-mediated intramolecular allylation involving an allylsilane and an aldehyde has been used as the key step in a stereoselective synthesis of 3,4-disubstituted tetrahydrofurans and 2,3,4-trisubstituted tetrahydrofurans.
