Abstract :
The NaH-promoted tandem Michael addition/intramolecular Horner–Wittig reaction of bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethyl)sulfide with chalcones afforded 3,4-dihydro-2H-thiopyrans 3a–l in 78–88% yield.
