Abstract :
Ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3) has been shown to be an inexpensive, efficient, and mild catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of octahydroquinazolinone derivatives using dimedone, urea/thiourea, and appropriate aromatic aldehydes under microwave-irradiation.
