Palladium-catalyzed oxidative cyclization in alkaloid synthesis: total syntheses of (±)-cis- and trans-195A

Total syntheses of (±)-cis-195A (1) and (±)-trans-195A (16) have been accomplished by a combination of palladium-catalyzed oxidative cyclization and Beckmann rearrangement as key reactions.
