Abstract :
Photochemical reactions between 1,4-benzo- and 1,4-naphthoquinone and several heteroaromatic carbaldehydes were investigated under solar irradiation conditions. These reactions gave the corresponding heteroacylated hydroquinones in the range 71%–92% yield.
