Abstract :
The zwitterionic intermediates generated from dialkyl azodicarboxylates and triphenylphosphine displayed excellent reactivity toward 3-formylchromones to afford chromeno[2,3-c]pyrazolines and chromeno[2,3-e]tetrazepines.
