Abstract
Two new highly oxidized A,B-seco limonoids, aphapolynins A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the fruits of Aphanamixis polystachya. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, in particular, the absolute configuration of aphapolynin A was determined by a single-crystal X-ray study using a mirror Cu Kα radiation. Aphapolynin A exhibit moderate cytotoxicities when tested against a panel of tumor cell lines.
