Abstract :
Lumen tapering is almost always seen in coronary artery disease, and averages 0.22 mm for every 10 mm of arterial length. Conversely, reversed lumen tapering is uncommon (approximately 10% of arteries). The mechanism of lumen tapering (EEM tapering vs differential plaque accumulation) varies with lesion location.
