Abstract :
In conclusion, we have shown that microemboli appear to be a universal phenomenon during PTMC. Because none of our patients had any apparent sequelae, these microemboli may be harmless. Further investigations are required to determine the nature of these microemboli and to ascertain whether subtle neurologic deficits have occurred.
