Use of transesophageal atrial pacing with adenosine infusion to evaluate ventricular preexcitation

Transesophageal atrial pacing with adenosine infusion is a useful adjunctive diagnostic tool for the evaluation of ventricular preexcitation and can be performed easily on an outpatient basis, obviating invasive evaluation and allowing appropriate management or referral for further electrophysiologic investigation.
