In summary, we demonstrated that there is no apparent increase in the frequency of the DD ACE genotype in Chinese subjects with either idiopathic or ischemic cardiomyopathy and that the frequency of the DD genotype is considerably lower in normal Chinese subjects than in Caucasians.
