Abstract :
Four new cipadessin-type limonoids, cipaferens A–D (1–4), and two known compounds (5 and 6) were isolated from the ethyl acetate-soluble extract of Cipadessa baccifera leaves. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive NMR (1D and 2D) and mass spectroscopic analysis. In addition, the isolates (1–5) were tested for their cytotoxicity against A549, MCF7, KBS, HeLa and IMR-32 cell lines using MTT assay.
