Abstract :
Palladium catalyzed synthesis of a number of novel 3-spirocyclopentene-2-oxindoles in good yields has been accomplished from geometrically strained 3-vinylcyclopropane-2-oxindole via vinylcyclopropane–cyclopentene rearrangement.
