Abstract :
The Electrical-Fluid Dynamic Tower Efficacy, for Mechanical-Draft Water Cooling Towers, to assess the use of electricity is defined as the ratio of the test Electro-Fluid Dynamic Parameter to the design (specified) Electro-Fluid Dynamic Parameter, expressed as a percentage. This parameter shows the ratio of the electrical power consumption, adjusted to the working design conditions, to the design (specified) power.
od is proposed to evaluate experimentally the Electrical-Fluid Dynamic Tower Efficacy simultaneously with the thermal performance of water-cooling towers by using the acceptance test code for water cooling towers, CTI Code ATC-105 of the Cooling Technology Institute.
st results obtained for a small induced draft counterflow tower are shown.
