Abstract :
Current–voltage profile of the molecule on a nanogap electrode along the chemical reaction path was studied using the standard method of quantum chemistry and equilibrium Green’s function formalism. Current–voltage profile corresponds to the energy profile along the chemical reaction path, which shows that it is possible to detect and track chemical reactions using electrical conduction measurements.
