Abstract :
Rate constants for reactions of four halogenated cyclobutanes with OH radicals were determined by means of a relative rate method in an 11.5-dm3 reaction chamber at 253–328 K: k1 (cis-cyclo-CF2CF2CHFCHF– + OH) = (1.03 ± 0.42) × 10−12 exp[–(1170 ± 120)/T], k2 (cis-cyclo-CF2CF2CHClCHCl– + OH) = (7.73 ± 1.04) × 10−13 exp[–(600 ± 40)/T], k3 (trans-cyclo-CF2CF2CHClCHCl– + OH) = (4.46 ± 0.60) × 10−13 exp[–(780 ± 40)/T], and k4 (cyclo-CF2CFClCCl2CH2– + OH) = (2.44 ± 0.90) × 10−13 exp[–(1200 ± 110)/T] cm3 molecule−1 s−1.
