Comment on ‘Anharmonic charge transfer vibronic states and luminescence dynamics of uranyl compounds’ by G.K. Liu and V.S. Vikhnin [Chem. Phys. Lett. 437 (2007) 56]

The predictions of Liu and Vikhnin [G.K. Liu, V.S. Viknin, Chem. Phys. Lett. 437 (2007) 56] in relation to the vibronic excited states of the UO 2 Cl 4 2 − ion are shown to be incompatible with existing experimental data.
