  • Abstract
    New bands observed between 460 and 560 nm following laser ablation of zirconium metal can be attributed to ZrO. A band system with origin near 513.3 nm is identified from dispersed fluorescence measurements as the predicted E1Π–X1Σ+ system. Vibrational constants for the E state are ωe ≈ 852, ωexe ≈ 1.5 cm−1. Data on the C1Σ+ and e3Π1 states have been extended.
