Abstract :
We have fabricated carbon nanoscrolls (CNSs) from monolayer graphene and investigated temperature-dependent Raman scattering of CNSs. Firstly, monolayer graphene prefers to form stacked layers, rather than tubular-like structures. Secondly, Raman signals between CNSs and monolayer graphene are similar, except the ratios between G and 2D peaks’ intensities. Finally, the G and 2D band frequencies downshift with temperature increasing from 303 K to 473 K. The temperature coefficients for G and 2D bands are – (1.86 ± 0.06) × 10−2 cm−1/K and – (3.46 ± 0.28) × 10−2 cm−1/K, respectively, which are similar to those of monolayer graphene. Therefore, compared with monolayer graphene, CNSs show similar electronic band structure and different phonon dispersion.
