Abstract :
Liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) of the aqueous two-phase system containing polyethylene glycol (PEG: Avg. M.W. = 7500) and dipotassium hydrogenphosphate (K2HPO4) were determined experimentally at 288.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K. Furthermore, the osmotic virial equation with temperature-dependent parameters was used to correlate the phase behavior of the PEG(1)-K2HPO4(2)-water(3) system and good agreement was obtained.
