Abstract
Excess molar volumes have been determined dilatometrically for n-C6H24 + C2H5OH, +(0.9036C2H5OH + 0.0964H2O), +(0.8181C2H5OH + 0.1819H2O), +(0.7789C2H5OH + 0.2211H2O), +(0.7415C2H5OH + 0.2585H2O), +(0.6890C2H5OH + 0.311H2O), and +(0.8201C2H5OH + 0.1788H2O + 0.0011NaCl). The VmE are positive for all the systems studied, with a magnitude that increases in one-phase regions and decreases in two-phase regions with increasing mole fraction of water in (ethanol + water) mixtures.
