Excess molar volumes of binary mixtures of 1,1,1-trichloroethane with ketones and esters at 303.15 K

Excess volume data on mixing for binary mixtures of 1,1,1-trichloroethane with methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, acetophenone, cyclohexanone, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate and n-butyl acetate have been measured as a function of composition at 303.15 K. The VE values are negative in mixtures of 1,1,1-trichloroethane with methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, acetophenone, cyclohexanone, n-propyl acetate and n-bytyl acetate and positive for mixtures of methyl acetate and ethyl acetate. The measured VE data are analysed in the light of intermolecular interactions.
