Abstract
The paper discusses in detail the different aspects involved in the development of high performance concrete (HPC) for the containment dome of the nuclear power plant at Kaiga. The mechanism of HPC, selection of the ingredients, including microsilica and the admixtures, mix design and preparation of trial mixes are described.
