Abstract
in the paper, the author, a concrete technologist of international repute, has made a strong plea for utilising flyash and other supplementary cementitious materials in the manufacture of concrete with a view to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, thus contributing to sustainable development of the construction industry in the list century.
