Abstract :
According to Buttler formulation Hashtpar City is passing from the involvement stage to the development stage. These days the fundamental issue in the city is the effect of tourism development on the residents quality of life in the near future. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to measure the quality of life in the city, to evaluate the effect of tourism development on the residents quality of life, and to assess the local residents willingness for supporting tourism development. The results suggested that the quality of life in the city was poor. Moreover the local residents believe that tourism development would lead to the positive and negative outcomes on their quality of life, nevertheless they support tourism development.
