nFeCl3 as Lewis acid catalyzed one-pot three-component reaction of 2-amino phenol acetylenic esters and nitrostyrene derivatives

A simple and efficient synthetic protocol has been developed via one pot three-component reaction between 2-amino phenol, dialkyl acetylene dicarboxylates and nitrostyrene derivatives. Utilizing this protocol a variety of novel pyrrolo-1,4- benzoxazine derivatives were synthesized in excellent yields.
