Abstract :
Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibria data have been determined at 101.3 kPa for the binary mixtures of (2,3-butanediol + n-butanol), (2,3-butanediol + ethyl acetate) and (2,3-butanediol + butyl acetate). Thermodynamic consistency has been tested for all vapor–liquid equilibria data. The non-ideality of the vapor phase has been considered by using Hayden–O’Connell equation. The activity coefficients have been correlated satisfactorily with Margules, Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC models.
