Abstract
A mathematical model is suggested for a simple case of delamination of solids under the action of the wedging hydraulic pressure. It is shown that the behavior of the system can be completely defined by a reference solution constructed on the basis of the known physical and mechanical characteristics of the system combined to form the basic parameter of the model, A. The computational results agree qualitatively and quantitatively with the data of the experiments on the modeling of the hydraulic fracture. This fact permits one to extend the application area of the model. Unlike familiar models that track only the asymptotic stage of the hydraulic fracture, the model suggested provides a unified description for the entire process, including the generation of the crack.
