Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to employ the algorithm of vapor–liquid–liquid–hydrate multiphase equilibrium to the multicomponent mixtures containing hydrogen. The Patel–Teja equation of state was used to perform the vapor–liquid–liquid (V–LHC–LW) three-phase flash calculation and the Chen–Guo two-step hydrate model was employed to calculate the vapor–hydrate phase equilibria. This method is rather simple due to avoiding the complexity of simultaneous solution of the sophisticated equation group. The proposed algorithm was tested on gas-emulsion systems. The comparisons of calculated results with experimental data show that the proposed algorithm is very stable and effective.
