Abstract
In this work, the PVTx properties of the carbon dioxide + 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene were measured by an isochoric apparatus.
periment covered both two phase and superheated vapor regions and have been performed a total of 8 isochores within a temperature range that spanned from (233 to 363) K and within a pressure range from (104 to 1909) kPa.
perimental results were correlated with the Carnahan-Starling-DeSantis Equation of State (CSD EoS) and compared with REFPROP 9.1 prediction. Coefficients for CSD EoS of the system components were derived from the experimental data. Binary interaction parameter was tuned to PVTx data in the two phase region. Results in the two phase region showed a sufficient agreement with the CSD equation and with the REFPROP 9.1. Data in the superheated vapor region were also predicted extrapolating coefficients for CSD EoS at higher temperatures. Agreement with CSD EoS for the superheated vapor region experimental data was always within ±1%.
E behaviour of the studied binary system from the experimental data was also derived.
